Recreational Classes

TNG Gymnastics and Cheer offers a wide variety of recreational classes for all ages and skill levels. Our classes are for anyone, boy or girl, man or woman, from 6 months old to 18 years.

 

For the Little Ones - Classes for 18 months to 5 years- $55/month

 

Parent & Me Gymnastics (18 months - 3)

A fun introductory class for children and parents to experience together. Children will work on balance skills, hand-eye coordination, gross motor skills, and build their strength all while having fun in a safe environment. This 30-minute class provides a great opportunity for both children and parents to socialize with each other and other families of young ones.

Preschool Gymnastics (3-5 years)

A beginning Gymnastics program for children 3-5 years old that builds a variety of skills on floor, vault, bars, and beam. In this 30-minute class, students will work on balance, gross motor skills, and strength in a safe and encouraging environment, working on basic swings on the bars and floor skills such as rolls and cartwheels.

TNG FLIPZ (3-5 years)

Mini Tumble class for kids where they will learn Rolls, Cartwheels, and other tramp and tumbling skills. They will also focus on hand-eye coordination, gross motor skills, and strength for tumbling.


For School Age Kiddos - Classes for kids 5 years and older- $68/month

 

Homeschool (5 years & up)

A daytime program supporting homeschool families, this class is a blend of our gymnastics and tumbling programs. The class provides guided physical exercise and social time in an encouraging and confidence-building environment while also meeting the PE requirements for the homeschool curriculum. Intro to tumbling (5 years & up)

In this introduction to tumbling, children learn a variety of rolls and cartwheels and progress into round-offs and kickovers in a guided and encouraging environment. Students build strength, confidence, and skill in preparation for intermediate/advanced tumbling.

Beginner Fun Gymnastics (5 years & up)

This beginner gymnastics class focuses on the introductory skills of bars, beam, vault, and floor and develops the gymnastics fundamentals. Through specially designed drills students build strength, balance, form, and gross motor skills needed for each apparatus while also developing self-confidence, listening skills, and discipline.

 

Intermediate/Advanced Tumbling (kickover required)

After mastering cartwheels, round-offs, and kickovers, young gymnasts progress to more advanced tumbling skills such as back handsprings, front-hand springs, running tumbling, and tucks. They build strength, confidence, and skill in a fun, safe environment and can use those skills in gymnastics, cheerleading, and sports.

TNG Flipz- (5 years and up)

Boys tumbling/Strength and Conditioning program where they learn standing and running tumbling such as cartwheels, handstands, round-offs, and progress into Backhandsprings, Front Handsprings, and Tucks. They will also learn the importance of strengthening their muscles, building endurance, and work on their hand-eye coordination

Level I Gymnastics (by Coach evaluation)

In this class, gymnasts continue to refine their skills in cartwheels and round offs and are introduced to more challenging skills. Our coaches guide gymnasts as they develop new skills on the floor and bars while working on handstands, pullovers, casts and more in a safe and encouraging environment.

Level II/III Gymnastics (by Coach evaluation)

This class continues to develop and refine the fundamentals as gymnasts work towards more challenging skills to include bridge-up kickovers, pullovers and back hip circles on the bar, levers on the beam, and handstand flatbacks on the vault.


 

Open Gym/Parent’s Night Out (all ages)

TNG Gymnastics and Cheer offers Open Gyms/Parent’s Night Out once a month. This is a time when anyone can drop in to play, try out our equipment, and work on their skills. Students enrolled in our classes or competitive teams may use this time to practice and refine skills. We ask that students wear appropriate class attire, newcomers should where snug athletic wear. For the safety of our guests, no loose-fitting clothing will be allowed on the bar apparatus. We recommend leotards, unitards, or compression shorts and tanks.

Private Lessons

Private lessons are available upon request. We offer 30 minute or 60 minute sessions. Contact the gym to schedule.


Competition Classes

At TNG Gymnastics and Cheer, we offer both competitive USAG Gymnastics and USASF Cheer programs. TNG Gymnastics and Cheer has been a competitive team since 2017.

Team Gymnastics

XCEL Program

Develop your competitive skills in a supportive team environment. Team Gymnastics is for our more advanced gymnasts who are ready to make a commitment to their growth. Our coaches are highly trained USAG pro members educated in Women’s XCEL programs. Participation in Team Gymnastics is by coach evaluation. Gymnasts practice twice a week and participate in USAG sanctioned meets in Tennessee and surrounding areas.

 

Cheer Team

All Star Competitive Cheer

Build confidence, determination, and teamwork while working on tumbling, stunting, jumps, and dance in choreographed routines. Our USASF Competitive Cheer program is for kids ages 5-17. Cheer team practices 2-3 times per week and competes in the Southeast region.
